Soma Joshi
This initiative has been thought upon and nurtured by Soma Joshi. Soma is an IT professional who works in one of the reputed MNC organisation - Capgemini Consulting India Ltd. She is the one who has mentored and motivated these children to go to school. She has been invariably talking to the parents of these children, specially the girls and guiding them about the importance of education.
Soma is also a volunteer in Dream India, an NGO, and teaches these children during weekends. Soma also cohenrently visits Vanprasthashram, an old-age home in Gorai, Mumbai and gives the oldies a new meaning to their life. Many of them have adopted her as their daughter.
