We not only require sponsors but a pedagogue and a guide...
Each one of us wants to do something for the society and there is no better way to give back to the society than to provide education to the less privileged ones. Providing education is the biggest gift that anyone can ever give. It depends on the generosity of individuals in the community, like you, to provide education fees for the children who are lesser privileged and much less fortunate than most of their privileged peers. By constant monitoring, proper guidance and quality education, the child is sure to become a well educated and good human. You would not only be sponsoring a child but also spreading good will in the society. Today you would sponsor a child, tomorrow the child (who would be a grown up) would sponsor similar other children.
There are some young girls and boys from a slum area in Kulupwadi, Near National Park, Borivali (E) who had been removed from the school due to personal financial problems. By convincing their parents and with the help of some sponsors in 2009 last year, we were able to get some children back to school. This year - 2010, it is time again for their school fees. They are unable to pay the fees of the school as most of them are laborers. It would be great if you’ll would like to sponsor some part of their education (even as less as Rs. 100 can make their future).
There would be no 80G tax exemption for this since this is not through any of the NGO’s but you would get the status of the studies of the child you have sponsored and also you can directly meet the child whenever you wish to and directly ask him/her their study status.

School: (Nalanda School (a rotary club school), English Medium, Rajendra Nagar, Borivali (e))
Facilities: Snacks, lunch, bags, notebooks, text books & uniform are provided by the school.
Courses offered: Karate, Computer & PTA
P.S. Nalanda school has provided 100% SSC results (standard 10th) until now so the future of these children would be in safe hands. Also, considering the environment in which they live, providing them education in such school will help them get the study environment. Since Nalanda school is a rotary club sponsored school, the fees are very nominal.

We accept third party transfer only. In case you are interested, please contact us at educatetheunderprivileged@yahoo.in with details about your name, email-id and we will provide you the bank details for the transfer. After transfer we will send you the bank account statement which will act as a receipt of your payment. We believe in complete transparency and also believe that the sponsors are the ones who are responsible for the upliftment of a child.
